Stonewall Community Foundation Scholarships

The Stonewall Community Foundation, based in New York City, has championed understanding of and rights for non-conforming citizens for 50 years. They focus on education and acceptance, and are proud to offer two scholarship opportunities for students dedicated to similar causes.

The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship, established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker, sponsors lesbians who are planning to further their education. Women-identified applicants are eligible to receive scholarships ranging from $1500 to $3000, which can be applied in a single academic year. Eligible applicants should be in their senior year of high school or already enrolled in college, up to and including graduate school. Area of study can be in any field but students must be able to demonstrate superior academic achievement, history of community service, leadership skills, and desire to positively address LCBTQ agendas.

Applications will be accepted online only; deadline for submissions is June 26, 2019, at noon, EST.

The second opportunity, the Levin-Goffe Scholarship will award a total of $25,000 that can be used for up to two years, payable directly to the educational institution. This scholarship fund was created specifically for undocumented immigrants, including refugees and asylum seekers, who are members of the LGBTQ community.
