Interfaith Dialogue for Combating Extremism among Young People is a free online sociology course offered by the European University Institute in Italy. This introductory course is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about how young people can be deterred from joining extremist groups and how radicalization can be addressed by communities. In particular, the class can be beneficial for activists, social services providers, educators, social workers, law enforcement officers and clergy. The course lasts for three weeks and is taught through online videos and supplemental readings. Most students will need to spend about three hours on the course each week. Those who complete all assignments and receive passing grades can pay $59 for a certificate of completion at the end of the class.
