Security & Safety Challenges in a Globalized World is an online course taught by the Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands. This entry-level class is intended for individuals who work in the field of safety and security and students who intend to one day work in these fields. During the 6-week course, students will learn about the global challenges to safety and how various levels of government respond to these threats. The coursework is presented as videos and readings. Real case studies are also used to help students see real-world applications of the concepts covered. Approximately 3 to 5 hours of study time are needed per week to complete the course.
