The Global MPH lasts for two academic years, each divided into three terms. Over the two years, students will complete eight core specializations, which includes a research portfolio and four optional specializations. The Global MPH will be held completely online via Coursera and will have comparable results and outcomes to the existing on-campus MPH programme and will include: pre-recorded lectures and video capture, slide-decks with audio commentary, practical exercises in coding and analysis, asynchronous peer to peer and staff moderated discussion forums, synchronous scheduled live tutorials, discussion forums and office hours and discussion prompts. The students will also be asked to do online quizzes, shoot video blogs, engage in case study review discussions and do coding exercises. During your studies, you will develop your own research portfolio to highlight your skills to potential employers and you may be asked to submit your final research project to a peer reviewed journal. Studying online on your own schedule will enable you to continue your career as you earn a degree from one of the top research institutions at the total cost of £ 20.100 for Islands and overseas students and £ 12.000 for the UK and EU students. The Global MPH programme costs less than on-campus masters as well as other top online programmes for international students!
Through the Global MPH you will be able to develop a wide range of research skills and gain knowledge about some of the most pressing global health issues. Since this is a new programme, there have not yet been any graduates of the programme; however, the School of Public Health teaches a full time MPH at the St Mary’s Campus over one academic year.
