Conflict and disasters around the world require effective humanitarian responses. In this course you will learn about the key principles of humanitarian action during modern emergencies and challenges the world is facing today.
In this course you will analyze a variety of conflicts and disasters from the Goma, Somalia, Afghanistan and the Balkans and look at the strategies to alleviate human suffering in a variety of contexts.
You will learn how to recognize and analyze emerging challenges in the humanitarian field and explore the ethical and professional principles that underpin humanitarian work during conflicts and disasters.
