This course offered by the SDG Academy provides an introduction to the world of Sustainable Development. You will explore how Sustainable Development tackles some of the most significant challenges our world faces today. You will examine questions such as: How can the world economy continue to develop in a way that is socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable? What role do people play in challenging inequality, poverty, health and human rights? How can businesses and economies thrive while leaving nobody behind? What is the value renewable energy and sustainable consumption of our natural resources?
While this course is free to audit, you may opt-in for a verified certificate upon course completion for an extra fee. The course has no prerequisites and everyone can enroll. The entire course is estimated to require 70 hours to be completed over a period of 14 weeks. It is taught by Jeffrey D. Sachs, a world-renowned professor of economics, leader in sustainable development, senior UN advisor, bestselling author, and syndicated columnist whose monthly newspaper columns appear in more than 100 countries.
